Homework Document

This is the name of our article that we just finished called Homework: Too Little or Too Much? It Depends

Old days are better with less homework but more studying.
Back in 1986, the percentage of students who spent at least six hours a week on schoolwork was larger: 49.5 percent. I think that back in 1986 kids spent more time doing homework because they were mean in the old days and if they didn't study or do there homework correctly they would make them clean the outhouse or get wacked on there hand with a ruler which really hurts and makes real bad bruises.
People don’t like studying because of network stuff.
The 2012 college freshmen survey questioned students about their last year of high school. Students were asked to list how much time they had spent per week on various activities. Nearly two-thirds said they had spent six or more hours a week socializing with friends. But only 38.4 percent spent that same amount of time on studying or homework during their last year in high school. And homework not only came in behind socializing. It also trailed exercise or sports and working for pay. I think people don't study because they have Xbox, Ps3 and all the technology that distracts them to not doing there work.
I wish I was still in preschool.
In all three age groups questioned, more than a fifth had no homework at all: That was true of 22 percent of 9-year-olds, 21 percent of 13-year-olds, and 27 percent of 17-year-olds. I think that kids in preschool have homework but most of it is for parents to sign and stuff so most of the time it isn't really homework for them but for the parents to do for the teachers. I also think that most of the stuff that they do in preschool is fun and they dont even learn anything except talk in english the rest of the stuff the kids do is play around in class all day and not get in trouble except if you hit somebody. I know all this stuff because my little sister is in preschool.

I like how you used so much evidence from the text but I would like to see more of your work and not evidence from the text.

  2. Edgar I think you did a great job but I think that you copy and past because it is the same. I think that you indented a lot. I liked it a lot. You just have some mistakes. But it is still great.

  3. Dear Edgar,
I agree with Blaise! I also like to say great job I really liked your piece of writing because I thought it was very organized. I have one more thing to say, I think being in middle school is better than preschool because preschoolers cannot do any experiments or science or to learn anything fun. Do you like learning the A B C . . .?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
